— Pitching was the story Sunday afternoon for the Beloit Snappers.

Liam Hendriks and Edgar Ibarra limited Clinton to four hits as the Snappers blanked the LumberKings, 3-0, in a Midwest League game at Pohlman Field.

Beloit scored the only three runs of the game in the bottom of the eighth inning, highlighted by Brian Dozier’s RBI single that broke a scoreless tie.

Hendriks worked the first six innings, allowing four hits while striking out eight. Ibarra did not allow a hit in three innings of work as he picked up the win to improve to 2-1 on the season.

The teams wrap up the brief two-game series at 11 this morning.
