Snappers slip past LumberKings in 11 innings

— Aaron Hicks scored from third base on a wild pitch with two out in the bottom of the 11th inning to give the Beloit Snappers a 4-3 victory over the Clinton LumberKings in Midwest League baseball Saturday.

Hicks' solo homer in the third inning gave Beloit a 1-0 lead and Angel Morales two-run homer in the fourth put Beloit on top, 3-0. Clinton scored three runs in the eighth to knot the game 3-3.

In the Beloit ninth, Hicks drew a leadoff walk and stole second base and advanced to third on Clinton catcher Steve Baron's throwing error with two outs. Hicks scored on reliever Jose Jimenez's wild pitch.

Matthew Tone (1-1) pitched two perfect innings in relief to gain the victory for Beloit.
