— The high school girls soccer season got off to a slow start for Janesville Parker on Thursday.

Racine Case scored two goals in the first 15 minutes in cruising to a 3-0 nonconference win over the Vikings.

Parker, which lost seven starters to graduation, managed only five shots on goal.

“We lost, but I’m still pleased with the way we played,” Parker coach Amy Wargowsky said. “We lost seven starters, so I figured we would be rebuilding early on.

“There were some things we did well, especially defensively. Savannah Shepler played well as our sweeper, and Anna Dubanowich did an excellent job in goal. We just want to keep improving.”

Parker plays at Oregon on Tuesday night.
