Important information regarding the election

— The spring election will be held on Tuesday, April 6, and polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Residents may cast their ballot for the following offices: Court of Appeals Judge District 4, Circuit Court Judge Branch 2, Janesville City Council, Janesville School Board and Milton School Board.

New residents or those who have changed addresses can register to vote at the City Clerk-Treasurer's Office in the Municipal Building, 18 N. Jackson St., or at their voting ward on election day. Residents who wish to check the status of their registration may visit vpa.wi.gov or call the clerk-treasurer's Office at (608) 755-3073. These residents can register to vote or update their existing registration on or before Monday, April 5.


Eligible registrants must be a U.S. citizen, be age 18 or older on election day and be a Janesville resident for 10 or more days. Bring your driver's license or state identification card number or your Social Security number if you have never been issued a driver's license or state ID number.
