Two people are vying for the supervisor No. 4 position on the Bloomfield Town Board.

A man who is a regular face in town elections is challenging the man who in November was appointed to the town board to fill in for incumbent Janet Roberts, who suffered a stroke and moved out of state.

The candidates are:

David Nusberger

Age: 51

Address: W873 Juneau Road, Genoa City.

Job: Retired over-the-road truck driver

Education: Graduate of Whitewater High School, 1978; attended Diesel Truck Driver Training School, Sun Prairie, 1988.

Community service: Founding member and vice president of the Pell Lake Sportsman's Club; chaplain at the Genoa City American Legion; member of the Bloomfield Park, Lake and Recreation Committee, 2006-present; founding member of the Bloomfield Fourth of July Parade, which was started in 1996.

Elected posts: None

Major campaign issues: I would like to deal with the issue of incorporation of Bloomfield Township. I would also like to support and help encourage new business growth in Bloomfield Township. I would also like to encourage the community to be involved in the town's growth and development.

Daniel Schoonover

Age: 59

Address: N1675 County H, Lake Geneva.

Job: Field representative, Foremost Farms, Elkhorn.

Education: High school graduate

Community service: Chairman of the Bloomfield Public Works Committee, 2009-present.

Elected posts: Appointed to the town board in November to fill out the remainder of Roberts' term.

Major campaign issues: First, it's very important that we incorporate as a township in order to stabilize our tax base. Second, we must continue to develop a responsible budget that provides the services needed without increasing expenses more than necessary. Third, the town needs to accept responsibility for planning and zoning in order to meet our future needs and growth.
