Walk a Mile in her Shoes raised more than $30,000

WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on the success of a recent fundraiser to call attention to domestic abuse

Organizers of the recent "Walk a Mile in Her Shoes" event held in Janesville are pleased with the donation total.

Organizer Jon Wangerin tells WCLO's Stan Milam show the fund raiser has come a long way in three years. He says the first year $1000 was raised. This year more than $30,000 was raised.

Donations will go to the Rock County YWCA Women's Empowerment Center Transitional Living program and shelter, for women who've escaped domestic violence.
