Middleton swims past Craig
JANESVILLE Janesville Craig lost 98-72 to Middleton in Big Eight girls swimming here Friday.
Craig High coach Brian Kitzman was happy with his team’s effort, despite falling to 2-2-1 in conference duals.
“It was a bit closer than we thought,” Kitzman said. “We juggled the lineup a bit, and it actually helped us.
“Any time you can hold a Madison (area) team to less than 100 points, it’s a huge success.”
Hailey Schneider won the 200 individual medley in 2:14.66 and the 100 breastroke in 1:09.72 to lead Craig, while teammate Chole Gansen won the 500 freestyle in 5:35.11.
Craig competes in the Fort Atkinson Invitational at 10 a.m. today.
