Edgerton teen fair after crash Monday
MADISON An Edgerton teen was listed in fair condition Tuesday at University Hospital after being involved in a two-vehicle head-on crash Monday morning, according to a hospital spokesperson.
Vance Lein, 17, was driving the vehicle that crashed into another vehicle and killed its driver at 7:45 a.m. Monday on County PQ in the town of Christiana, according to a press release from the Dane County Sheriff's Office.
Lein was the at-fault driver, the release said.
Lein was driving east on PQ when his Chevrolet Suburban crossed the centerline and hit the westbound Kia Sorento driven by Sara N. Clark, 30, of Cambridge, according to the release.
Clark died after being taken to a local hospital. Lein was taken to University Hospital, Madison, with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, the release said.
A preliminary investigation points to inattentive driving as the cause of the accident, which remains under investigation. Charges against Lein are pending, the release said.

Who said he was on the phone. IF you DON"T know the facts, don't comment. I am willing to bet that any of you commenting here have at least once in your life.... talked on the phone, changed the radio station, looked in the vanity mirror, sneezed (which takes closing your eyes). This is an awlful accident, look at the channel 15 site in regards to this. You will see that family members aren't placing blame, that is why they say it was an accident. This young man will have this to carry the rest of his life. Those with no compassion, I HOPE you never have an ACCIDENT!!!
