Rock County Deputies crack down on drunk drivers
ROCK COUNTY The Rock County Sheriff's Office reports a total of 69 tickets issued during the latest traffic enforcement effort.
Sheriff Bob Spoden says the initiative involved getting alcohol impaired drivers off the road.
Deputies spend a little over 64 hours on the effort. Seven tickets were issued specifically for drunk driving, but officers also issued 26 tickets for speeding, 11 citations for operating after revocation, and 11 tickets for seat belt violations.
This year's campaign started on August 21st and ran through September 7th. Rock County's participation was funded through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
