WCLO's Stan Stricker reports on trip by library staff to learn efficient use of electronic chips
Staff members from Hedberg Public Library in Janesville are headed to a Chicago area library Tuesday to learn about radio frequency tags.
Hedberg Library Director Bryan McCormick says the tags would make check-out and security more efficient. McCormick says this would speed checkout, as well as, sound an alarm if unchecked materials were to be taken out of the library.
The city council is considering spending $350,000 on the system.
