UW-Rock soccer downs Baraboo
BARABOO UW-Rock County did all its scoring in the second half to post a 3-0 victory over host UW-Baraboo in Wisconsin Collegiate Conference soccer Wednesday.
UW-Rock improves to 2-0 in the WCC and 3-2-1 overall.
James Baines, a Janesville Craig High School graduate, scored on a long shot at 59 minutes. Jose Montero added the Rattlers’ second goal at 76 minutes, and Craig grad Jordan Stone drilled a laser past Baraboo keeper Corey Ables at 93 minutes.
“It was a professional shot,” UW-Rock coach Grant McNall said. “The goalkeeper didn’t move.’’
