This year's Forward Janesville Business and Marketing Expo may not look the same.

Helgeson Development Operations Director Steve Tague says 237,000 square feet of redeveloped space in the old LSI building on Venture Drive is being loaned to use for next month's "Rock Regional Business and Marketing Expo". The space is about four football fields in area, and many times larger than past venues. Expo Committee Chair Mark Warren says the loss of the auto industry, and high local unemployment, won't stop business leaders from expanding the event. In the hopes of bolstering economic growth, Warren says the expo will be truly regional, with involvement from several area Chambers of Commerce. Warren expects more than 150 exhibitors, with the possiblity of diplaying things like automobiles, a bowling alley, and perhaps even a golf driving range.

The expo is planned for October 22nd.
