Janesville soccer teams come up empty

Janesville Parker fell behind early en route to an 8-0 Big Eight Conference boys soccer loss to visiting Verona here Tuesday.

Parker (0-11, 0-4) trailed 5-0 at the half as five different Wildcat players scored.

Carlos Sagora and Sergio Estrada combined for 11 saves for the Vikings.

n Memorial 7, Craig 0—Janesville Craig trailed 1-0 at the half, but Madison Memorial cut loose for six goals in the second half.

Craig fell to 1-3 in the Big Eight and 5-4 overall.

Memorial scored three goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half to control the match.

“We did all the right things in the first half, but we made some critical mistakes in the second half,” Craig coach Charles Friedrich said. “They really came at us the second half.’’

Craig lost leading striker Jairo Sandoval for the season with knee injury.
