Janesville Cougars fall in conference golf finale

JANESVILLE — Janesville Craig’s girls golf team came up just short in its bid to finish above .500 in the Big Eight Conference.

Craig High lost to Madison Memorial, 387-393, on Tuesday at Riverside to complete the conference dual schedule with a 4-5 record.

Memorial’s Jennifer Haberslaben was the medalist with an 88, while Lindsey Beals paced the Cougars with a 92.

Meanwhile, Middleton defeated Madison West, 322-348, to win the undisputed Big Eight dual championship.

The Cardinals finished 9-0, followed by Janesville Parker at 8-1 and West at 7-2.
