Sex offender released to Janesville halfway house
ROCK COUNTY A convicted sex offender is scheduled to be released to a Rock County halfway house Tuesday.
31 year old Corey Standfield was convicted of 1st degree sexual assault of a child and attempted 1st degree sexual assault of a child in 1998. He was accused of having contact with both males and females between the ages of 6 and 9.
After serving time in the Wisconsin prison system, Standfield is due to be released to the Rock Valley Community Corrections facility in Janesville.
Standfield will wear an electronic bracelet and will have routine contact with state officials. He will need to comply with rigid rules regarding his adjudication, including no contact with minors. Standfield is a lifetime registrant of the Wisconsin sex offender registration program.
