— A city man is listed as critical at Mercy Hospital after being shocked while working on a bathroom exhaust fan Sunday.

Adam L. Rivers, 22, of 6219 Highway 51, Janesville, was unresponsive with no pulse when Janesville Fire Department paramedics arrived at 3:29 p.m. in the 1000 block of Laramie Lane, said Craig Jones, shift commander.

Paramedics, however, revived Rivers and transported him to Mercy.

Michael D. Arnold, 41, was present when the accident occurred and told police he thought the power was off prior to working on the fan with Rivers, said Lt. John Olsen, a Janesville Police Department patrol supervisor.

"Nothing is suspicious," Olsen said.
