Natural gas prices down for winter heating season

— Alliant Energy customers should see lower home heating bills this winter.

Alliant spokesman, Steve Schultz, says supplies of gas are at near record levels and the demand is down, so the price is falling.

Schultz says, "compared to last year, the average customer should pay about $210.00 less for natural gas.

Schultz says the six month heating season starts October 1st and ends March 31st.
