Intoxicated driving arrests

--R. DEVEREUX PARKER, 44, of 2229 N. Sumac Drive, Janesville, at 1:20 a.m. Sept. 5 at 4910 S. County D, Rock Township. It was reportedly his third offense.


--KEVIN J. WEEDEN, 36, of 257 W. Church St., Evansville, at 6:21 p.m. Monday at Happy Hollow Road and Christianson Road, Rock Township.


--LUKE E. TAAFFE, 22, of 633 S. Main St., Janesville, at 1:02 a.m. Friday at Delavan Drive and Center Avenue, Janesville. It was reportedly his third offense. Also ticketed for unauthorized use of an entityís identifying information.


Arrests

--A 15-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY at 11:35 a.m. Thursday at Craig High School, Janesville, was referred to juvenile authorities on charges of possession of a dangerous weapon on school grounds, recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct and a probation violation. He is accused of threatening another student with a knife during gym class.


Accidents

--MILTON AVENUE AND KENNEDY ROAD, Janesville, at 10:32 p.m. Sunday. Teresa D. Simons, 18, was driving south in the northbound lane of Milton Avenue when her car struck a truck driven by Nathan A. Moench, 16, of 725 Waveland Road, Janesville. Simons was cited for intoxicated driving, operating while suspended and driving on a divided highway. She was treated and released from Mercy Hospital, Janesville.


--HIGHWAY 51 AND AIRPORT ROAD, Rock Township, at 10:08 p.m. Sunday. Melissa E. Ditzler, 24, of 1130 Church St., Janesville, was struck by a truck driven by Richard J. Knilans, 20, of 6047 S. Highway 51, Janesville. Ditzler was walking down the middle of the northbound lanes when Knilans, who was driving southbound, saw her and attempted to swerve. The driverís side mirror struck Ditzler, who walked across the southbound lands and fell into the shoulder of the road. Knilans turned around and parked his truck to protect Ditzler from traffic. Ditzler was treatd and released from Mercy Hospital, Janesville. She was cited for walking on the road.


--HIGHWAY 14 AND TUTTLE ROAD, Center Township, at 5:05 p.m. Monday. Danny R. Rankin, 54, of 4327 Woodcrest Drive, No. 103B, Janesville, purposely dumped his motorcycle when forced to come to a sudden stop behind traffic while driving east on Highway 14. He and a passenger, Lauri A. Vickerman, 44, of 1505 S. Chatham St., Janesville, were ejected from the motorcycle.


Reported

--BURGLARY to Interstate Storage, 3031 E. County O, Rock Township, at 11:15 a.m. Sept. 2. A television was reported stolen.
