Janesville Cougar golfers split matches
MADISON Janesville Craig’s girls golf team split two Big Eight Conference matches Thursday.
The Cougars finished with a 394 total at Yahara Hills to beat Madison East (408) by 14 shots, but lost to Madison La Follette (368).
Lyndsey Beals had a 92 to pace the Cougars (4-4 in the Big Eight).
“I would say we had an average day,” Craig High first-year coach Dominic Wiegel said. “And La Follette had its lowest round of the season.”
Craig will be in the Cardinal/Spartan Invitational on Saturday at Pleasant View Golf Course in Middleton.
