Janesville Parker’s girls tennis team tuned for Thursday’s intra-city showdown against Janesville Craig by blasting Sun Prairie, 7-0, in Big Eight action Tuesday.

The Vikings (8-2 overall,

3-2 Big Eight) won five of the seven matches in straight sets.

“We had a talk before the match who we wanted our girls to be mentally tough whether they were ahead or behind,” Parker coach Justin Long said.

That talk paid dividends at No. 3 and No. 4 singles where Sarah Sodemann and Terri Harmata both bounced back from second-set losses to win their matches.
