Springs crushes Elkhorn; Badger rallies for victory

Elkhorn High’s football team rushed for zero yards on 26 carries Friday night as the visiting Elks fell to 0-2 with a 45-0 nonconference loss to Fond du Lac St. Mary’s Springs (2-0).

Lucas Weber led the Ledgers with 70 yards on four carries. He gained 58 on a fourth-quarter TD run.

Anthony Parker rushed for 65 yards and scored two touchdowns, including the game’s first on a 30-yard pass from Mitch Beau. Beau ran for one score and passed for three others.

The Badgers trailed 10-0 entering the final quarter. Trevor York scored on a 21-yard run with 10:12 left in the game.

Poplar finished with 109 yards rushing on 21 carries. York had 66 in 10.
