Edgerton seeking Clean Water Fund loan
EDGERTON The city of Edgerton will apply for a Wisconsin Clean Water Fund loan to replace 950 feet of sewer on Blaine Street, City Administrator Ramona Flanigan said.
The city has requested approval for the project from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, according to a DNR news release. It proposes to replace sewer on Blaine Street from Swift Street to Randolph Street at an estimated cost of $439,000, the release says.
If Edgerton receives the loan, it can pay for the project without raising user rates, the release says.
This type of project normally does not have adverse environmental impact, but the DNR is soliciting public comments about the proposal. To comment or get more information, contact Tom Gilbert, wastewater facility planning coordinator, at (608) 267-7628.
Anyone interested has until 4:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 7, to submit written or oral comments. Send comments to Gilbert at 101 S. Webster Street, Madison, WI 53702, or e-mail tom.gilbert@wisconsin.gov.
