Janesville Parker tips East for 7th straight victory

JANESVILLE — Janesville Parker defeated Madison East, 4-3, in Big Eight Conference girls tennis Monday.

Parker High increased its undefeated string to seven matches, including a 2-0 mark in the Big Eight Conference.

“We are playing with a lot of confidence now,” Parker coach Justin Long said.

Parker’s No. 2 doubles team of Kim Amundson and Danielle Boyd improved to 7-0 for the season, while Parker’s No. 3 team of Hailey Fenrick and Ellary Nemetz improve to 6-0 overall.

Doubles—Nellie Mitchell-Anna Speikerman (ME) def. Maddie Theisen-Kristin Zeilinger, 4-6, 7-6 (9-7) 7-6, (16-14). Kim Amundson-Danielle Boyd (JP) def. Karley Bolz-Maggie Douglas, 7-5, 6-1. Hailey Fenrick-Ellary Nemetz (JP) def. Ashley Frank-Leah Resnick, 6-4, 7-5.
