Horse ride nets $17,475 for charity

EAGLE — The Pink Ribbon Ride for the Cure had 168 horse and rider participants on Sunday, Oct. 4.

The ride raised $17,475.95 for Wisconsin Breast Cancer Coalition from registration fees, silent auctions, raffle ticket sales, T-shirt sales and donations.

Ginny Hoff of Edgerton won the custom sign certificate by SignWorks.

Each rider was asked to donate $35-$40 for a registration fee.

Karin Stork of Whitewater donated the second-highest individual amount of $1,023.

The ride was dedicated to loved ones who have battled breast cancer and to Hags on Nags member Suzanne Daniels Shadel, who died of breast cancer five years ago.

Hags on Nags sponsored the event.
