Nate Hammon threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another to lead Milton High to a 28-0 victory at Fort Atkinson in a Badger South football finale Wednesday night.

Milton finished second to Monona Grove (9-0, 6-0) at 5-1 in the conference and 7-2 overall, ending a five-year run of conference championships for the Red Hawks. Fort Atkinson went 0-9 and 0-6, leaving the Blackhawks at 0-12 in the conference since returning to the Badger last season.

Hammon completed 10 of 19 passes, including TD throws of 36 and 18 yards to Phillip McCarthy and Nick Meyers, respectively. Hammon ran 16 yards for the Red Hawks’ final score.

Milton’s Alec Vincenzi scored on a 36-yard touchdown run and gained 112 yards on 20 carries.

Monona Grove 23, Stoughton 14—The Silver Eagles held the Vikings (4-5, 2-4) to 57 yards rushing en route to clinching the Badger South championship and a 9-0 and 6-0 season.

Jason Payne returned the opening kickoff 97 yards for a touchdown to get Monona Grove headed in the right direction.

Monona Grove’s Beau Goff gained 128 yards on 22 carries, including touchdown runs of 12 and 9 yards.
