The Delavan-Darien school district is receiving a $1 million grant to improve its physical education programs.
Physical Education teacher Deb Ludlow says without that grant money, the district can't provide canoes and kayaks, a rock climbing wall or 25 cardio stations. She says it helps students develop experiences and lifetime activities they wouldn't normally have. Delavan is among 73 school districts nationwide to receive the grant. Ludlow first started researching the grant in 1992.

The grant is for ALL of Delavan-Darien School District, not just DDHS. Spent well, this is a wonderful opportunity for ALL the schools and ALL the children. Please move on from your high school hang-ups enough to see the benefits for all. If they won a grant of this size, obviously SOMEONE felt they were deserving!
