Stoughton High skipped past host Monroe, 14-7, in Badger South football Friday night.
The Vikings’ Eric Gerber connected with Tyler Kowalkowski on a 17-yard touchdown pass play in the third quarter for the winning touchdown.
Gerber scored on a 6-yard run in the first quarter to give Stoughton (4-4, 2-3) a 7-0 lead. Monroe’s Dylan Schwitz scored on a 5-yard run in the third quarter to tie it at 7-7.
Michael Barrett gained 80 yards on 19 carries for the Cheesemakers (1-7, 1-5). Gerber completed 10 of 19 passed for 114 yards and a touchdown.

Edgewood 28, Fort Atkinson 7—Christian Wabers rushed for 177 yards as Madison Edgewood (5-3, 3-2) strengthened its WIAA playoff bid by rolling over winless Fort Atkinson (0-8, 0-5) at Middleton on Thursday night.
Wabers scored two touchdowns, including a 38-yard run in the third quarter that helped the Crusaders pull away from a 14-7 lead. Sophomore quarterback Drew Dunkleberger threw 31 yards to junior Ian Brady in the third period for Fort Atkinson’s touchdown.
