Beloit man busted on burglary charges
JANESVILLE Police took a Beloit man armed with a semi-automatic handgun into custody after an early Monday morning burglary, according to a department press release.
Officers responded to the 300 block of South Main Street around 3:30 a.m. Monday after receiving a report of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival they located the suspect in a back yard and arrested him after a short foot pursuit, the press release said.
Armando Culin, 20, of 119 Bluff St., Beloit, was arrested on charges of burglary while armed, attempted burglary while armed, endangering safety by use of dangerous weapon and carrying concealed weapon.
Culin had entered one house and attempted to enter another, the release said.
