UW-Rock County soccer wins tiebreaker
UW-Rock County’s soccer team won another big one Thursday—this time with a coin flip.
The flip to decide the first-place tiebreaker in the Wisconsin Collegiate Conference went the Rattlers, giving them the No. 1 seed in conference tournament.
UW-Rock and UW-Fox Valley tied for first place at 6-0-1 after they played to a 1-1 tie earlier in the regular season.
With the winning flip, however, the Rattlers will get the home-field advantage in the three rounds of the eight-school tournament. They open with at p.m. game Monday against eighth-seeded UW-Waukesha.
The other first-round pairings are No. 4 UW-Washington vs. No. 5 UW-Baraboo, No. 3 UW-Fond du Lac vs. No. 6 UW-Sheboygan, and No. 2 UW-Fox Valley vs. No. 7 UW-Marathon.
