A local health care provider is expanding.
Mercy Regional Cancer Center Director Jere Johnson tells WCLO's Stan Milam Show services including medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology will be expanding into a new building.
The cancer center will be housed in the new Michael Berry building after construction is complete next spring.

What are you talking about? There is criticism of (and praise for) Mercy in almost every comments section of every article on local healthcare. You are probably thinking of breaking news articles in the "news blog" that are periodically deleted.

I am an avid supporter of Mercy's Health System, they have been a very big part of my life for many reasons.
I find it disturbing however that constructive criticism of their expansions and growth have been simply removed from the Gazette's site.
This is a non-profit business, and I'm starting to wonder how that is if they can't even take the people's opinions of which they are supposed to be supporting - in fact, they seem to spend money in all the wrong places lately. Advertising an award that you petitioned to get?, for services that you are cutting & under-staffing with employees who have taken a cut in benefits? As well as renovating the signs, landscaping and "closed" buildings?
Shame on you Mercy for apparently "refusing to listen", and shame on you Gazette for letting them sway your presentation of information.
Concerned Readers: if you see this, copy and paste it and send it to your friends - it won't be here long.
