Arrests


- MARCOS GARCIA, 18, of 1924 S. Marion Ave., Janesville, at 7 p.m. Thursday in the 1200 block of Hawthorne Avenue, Janesville, on charges of burglary, receiving stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. He is accused of entering a garage and attempting to steal items from a car. The homeowner fought with Garcia and restrained him, according to the police report.


- A 14-YEAR-OLD JANESVILLE BOY at 11:52 a.m. Tuesday in the Rock County Juvenile Detention Center, Janesville. Referred to juvenile authorities on a charge of battery by prisoner stemming from a fight.

- ATTEMPTED BURGLARY reported at 10:25 a.m. Thursday to a home in the 1700 block of Green Forest Run, Janesville.


- THEFT reported at 7 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Janesville Sand and Gravel, 525 Black Bridge Road, Janesville. Taken were a 75-foot section of conductor cable valued at $2,250 and a power station for screening, valued at $2,000.

- JESSICA J. TWING, 18, 1312 Tyler St., Janesville, charged with burglary and misdemeanor theft stemming from a Thursday incident in the 400 block of Milton Avenue, Janesville.


- ROBERT I. STEVENSON, of 222 North Franklin St., No. 111, charged with second-degree sexual assault, strangulation and suffocation and false imprisonment. All of the charges came with domestic abuse riders. The charges stem from an incident Friday when Stevenson allegedly assaulted a woman he knew, strangled her and then refused to let her leave his apartment.

Intoxicated driving arrests


- KURT WARE, 24, of 321 Parkside Drive, Whitewater, on Thursday on East Milwaukee Street, Whitewater. Also ticketed for operating after revocation or suspension.


- VANESSA L. WALKER, 19, 207 Park St., Walworth, at 3:32 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of St. Andrews Trail, Fontana, after a traffic accident. It was reported as her third offense. She also was cited for operating after revocation.


- STEVEN M. SCHNEIDER, 43, Algonquin, Ill., at 8:05 p.m. Sept. 26, on Highway 50 at Highway 12, Lake Geneva, after a traffic accident. Also ticketed for operating after revocation and inattentive driving.


- THOMAS A. NAPIORKOWSKI JR., 37, Genoa, Ill., at 1:44 a.m. Sept. 25, on Highway 67 at Main Street, Fontana.


- CHRISTINA M. BLAKE, 38, 3173 Lockwood Blvd., Lake Geneva, at 12:42 a.m. Sept. 24, on Main Street at Center Street, Lake Geneva. Also ticketed for operating without required lamps lighted.


- JASON F. LIEBOVICH, 27, W3684 Maple Lane, Lake Geneva, at 12:46 a.m. Sept. 23, in the parking lot of Burger King, 100 N. Wells St., Lake Geneva. Also ticketed for operating left of center.

- COSMO J. SMITH, 26, of 2006 Linden Ave., Janesville, obstructing, felony vehicle operator fleeing/eluding officer, one year in jail with credit, $112. Charges of criminal trespassing to dwelling, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana all dismissed but read into court record.


- DANNY B. SLACK, 62, Mt. Prospect, Ill., felony attempted theft of movable property, one year in jail with Huber privileges with credit. Charge of misdemeanor bail-jumping dismissed but read into court record.

- ROBERT P. JACKSON, 31, of 1335 Laramie Lane, No. 8, Janesville, formerly of Orfordville, felony uttering forgery, domestic criminal damage to property, possession of marijuana, two counts of obstructing, two counts of misdemeanor bail-jumping, nine months in jail with credit, two days in jail in lieu of fine, three years probation, $275.
