Janesville resident killed in Milton Township crash
Traffic fatalities map
MILTON TOWNSHIP The Rock County Sheriff's Office is reporting a single vehicle fatal accident on Old Highway 59 just north of the new Highway 59 bypass.
Deputies arrived at the scene around 6:30 and found a car collided with a parked caterpillar front-end-loader.
The driver, identified as 40-year-old Reyna Portugal of Janesville, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies investigating the accident say it appears Portugal failed to negotiate a curve in the road, left the roadway and struck the front-end-loader. Unreasonable and imprudent speed and wet road conditions were contributing factors in the crash.
