One person is dead and another injured after a shooting in Beloit Tuesday afternoon.

Just before 1:00 o'clock, police were called to Merrill Elementary School to find a 22-year-old shooting victim, who crashed a vehicle in the school's parking lot. The person was pronounced dead at Beloit Memorial Hospital. A second person was transported from the area of Porter and Randall with non-life threatening gunshot wounds. The connection between the person in the vehicle and the pedestrian is not known. All Beloit police resources on first and second shifts were being used for the incident.

More information is expected after the victim's relatives are notified.
