Kotula Player of Year in Southern Lakes
Matric Kotula, who led Lake Geneva Badger to the WIAA Division 1 sectional title game, has been named the Player of the Year in Southern Lakes boys soccer.
Kotula, a junior forward, is one of five Badger High players on the first team for the Southern Lakes champions. Forward Wes Aranda, midfielder Kyle Blechner, defender Ben Larwa and goalie Brendan Gruenwald-Schmitz were also selected to the first team for Badger.
Delavan-Darien’s Chris Doerr, Jordan Rowland and Mark Armato made the first team, along with Elkhorn’s Joesan Duran and Jordan Kayser.

Oregon tops All-Badger South selections
Oregon went unbeaten in conference play en route to the Badger South title, and the Panthers dominate the all-conference selections.
Six Panthers were selected to the first team, including unanimous picks in defender Mathias Thoma, along with midfielders Masees Mesdjian and Brian Jacobs.
Monroe senior forward Andrew Aurit and senior midfielder Michael Gross were also first-team selections.
