MILTON A lifelong dream is about to come true for Jennah Haney.
The Milton High senior signed a national letter of intent on Wednesday to swim for the University of Wisconsin.
Haney, a three-time Division 2 state champion, narrowed her collegiate choices to Wisconsin and Louisville but ultimately chose to follow her heart in becoming a Badger.
“Growing up in Wisconsin, I’ve always wanted to be a Badger,” Haney said. “Louisville had a great facility and a lot to offer, but in the end, I couldn’t pass up the chance to stay close to home and swim for the UW.
“I just felt like it was the best fit for me. I can’t wait.”
Haney won state titles in the 100 breaststroke as a freshman and sophomore, and added a third title in the 200 individual medley at last Friday night’s Division 2 state meet at the site of her future home—the UW Natatorium.
