UW-Rock County Rattlers top Manitowoc

— UW-Rock County defeated visiting UW-Manitowoc, 84-61, in Wisconsin Collegiate Conference men’s basketball Monday.

Fred Stewart scored 18 of his game-high 20 points in the second half to lift the Rattlers from a 36-31 halftime deficit. Stewart added a game-high 15 rebounds.

Corey Kramer, a Beloit Memorial graduate, added 18 points and, Gabe Mitchell, an Edgerton High graduate, scored 16.

Rattlers coach Scott Lee credited forward Keifer Cary, a 6-foot, 5-inch Clinton graduate, for sparking the Rattlers. Cary finished with five points.

UW-Rock (2-1) will travel to UW-Fond du Lac on Wednesday. The UW-Rock women will also play at Fond du Lac.
