Beloit College falls in first game

— Beloit College lost, 78-57, to Marion University in a nonconference men’s basketball season opener on Sunday afternoon.

The Buccaneers made just 18 of 55 (32 percent) shots from the floor. David Bremner scored 13 points and Travis Towns, an Edgerton High graduate, added 11 points.


Marion’s Logan Rankin scored 21 points to lead all scorers.
