Rock County judge seek re-election

Rock County Circuit Court Judge for Branch 2, Alan Bates, is running for re-election.

Bates was first elected in 2004. His first four years on the court were spent dealing with adult case. The last year has been spent in juvenile court. Bates says in the last six months, a formal risk assessment in juvenile delinquency cases has begun, with the goal of insuring each child's success.

He says he'll continue to address the difficult issues of disproportionate minority contact, child abuse, truancy, and deliquency.
