— Police have responded to a rash of thefts from vehicles that happened Wednesday night and Thursday morning, Lt. Bob Bolgrihn said.

A thief or thieves took valuables from about five unlocked cars, he said. Purses, a wallet, MP3 players, cell phones and a laptop were stolen.

The thief or thieves went into at least two garages, one on Leslie Drive and one on Lilac Court, probably through unlocked utility doors, Bolgrihn said. Nothing was taken from the garages besides what was taken from the vehicles, he said.

The department has no suspects in the case, he said.
