In the regular season’s biggest game, UW-Whitewater’s Levell Coppage stood tall.

The sophomore running back gained 199 yards rushing and scored three touchdowns to lead the Warhawks to a 41-12 victory at UW-Stevens Point in a battle between the WIAC’s two undefeated teams Saturday.

For his efforts, Coppage has earned the WIAC Offensive Player of the Week honor.

Coppage carried 23 times and had a season-long scoring run of 68 yards against the Pointers. Stevens Point entered the game limiting opponents to less than 100 yards rushing a game, but the Warhawks put up 240 yards rushing to take command of the WIAC race.

Coppage is eighth in career rushing yards (2,542) and second in career touchdowns (40) at UW-Whitewater in just 23 games.

Coppage ranks second in NCAA Division III with 110 points through eight games. He leads the WIAC with 1,081 yards rushing.
