Badger draws Franklin in third round of playoffs
Kyle Poplar gained 119 yards on 19 carries, including a 30-yard touchdown run, in leading Lake Geneva Badger High School’s football team to a 34-20 victory over South Milwaukee at Greendale.
With the win Saturday, the Badgers (9-2) advance to a WIAA Division 2 third-round playoff game Friday night against Franklin (9-2), also at Greendale.
Badger gained 433 yards rushing on 54 carries against South Milwaukee (6-5), while the Rockets were held to 16 yards on 25 attempts.
