-- BURGLARY reported at 3:39 p.m. Tuesday to an apartment in the 100 block of South Main Street, Janesville. Reported stolen were a television, cabinet, mattress and box spring with a total value of $312.
Accidents
-- RACINE STREET AND RANDALL AVENUE, Janesville, at 2:49 p.m. Wednesday, a car driven by Michael J. Thornton, 20, of 525 S. High St., Janesville, collided in the intersection with a vehicle driven by Donald O. Thom, 67, Beaver Dam. Thom’s passenger, Doris A. Thom, 89, of 1259 S. Oakhill Ave., Janesville, was treated at Mercy Hospital, Janesville, and released.
-- OLD HIGHWAY 11 AND MURPHY ROAD, Plymouth Township, at 5:43 p.m. Tuesday, a motorcycle driven by Paul L. Atkinson, 34, of 316 W. Center St., Footville, entered a corner too fast and lost control, rolling off the road. Atkinson was ticketed for driving too fast for conditions and not having a motorcycle license. Atkinson also was transported to Mercy Hospital, then transferred to UW Hospital, Madison. He was in fair condition Thursday.
-- HAPPY HOLLOW ROAD AND DRIFTWOOD DRIVE A 6-year-old child was injured after striking the side of a Chevrolet Suburban while riding a bicycle at 7:21 p.m. Saturday in Rock Township. Jessica T. Dimas, 38, of 5322 Madison Street, Afton, was driving west on Happy Hollow Road as the child rode south down the hill on Driftwood. Dimas swerved to miss the child, but the child struck the passenger side of the van. No citations were issued.
-- PARKER DRIVE AND GLEN STREET, JANESVILLE, at 10:23 a.m. Tuesday. A van driven by Bradley R. Albrecht, 36, of 4707 Twelve Oaks Drive, Milton, struck a car driven by Martha Velasco-Arellano, 28, of 2629 N. Pontiac Drive No. 6, Janesville, after the car turned left in front of the van. Velasco-Arellano was reported transported but her condition was unavailable Wednesday night. She was cited for failing to yield the right-of-way and driving without a valid license.
-- WUTHERING HILLS DRIVE AND BRISTOL DRIVE, JANESVILLE at 4:59 p.m. Tuesday. An SUV driven by Penny C. Woodford, 59, of 405 Rockshire Drive, Janesville, swerved to avoid hitting a parked car. The SUV crossed the centerline and went into the ditch. Woodford was trying to get something out of her purse before she saw the parked car, the police report says. Woodford was reported transported but her condition was unavailable Wednesday night. She was cited for inattentive driving.
-- COUNTY K IN PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP at 11:17 p.m. Sunday. A fertilizer spill just south of Highway 213. The nitrogen was transferred onto a separate trailer and the scene was cleaned. Orfordville Fire Department, the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and the Rock County Sheriff’s Office responded.
Fire calls
-- 2235 MILTON AVE., JANESVILLE, at 11:36 a.m. Thursday. A minor electrical fire at the vacant building, formerly Premiere Video, was called in by a passing motorist. Firefighters discovered about six wires that formerly powered neon signs on the building were blackened from heat. Two of them had started small fires. A transformer had gone bad, allowing electricity to flow to the wires. Damage estimated at about $5,000.

Intoxicated driving arrests
-- JOHN H. NAFZGER, 56, Brodhead, at 8:20 p.m. Sunday on Highway 11 near County OK in Spring Grove Township. It is listed as his third drunken-driving arrest. He also was arrested on charges of fleeing an officer, felon in possession of a firearm, resisting an officer, operating after revocation, uncased firearm in a vehicle, loaded firearm in a vehicle, seatbelt violation, failure to signal turn, non-registration of a vehicle and possession of a protected species.
-- NATHAN L. WILLIAMS, 24, Brodhead, at 12:34 a.m. Monday in the W100 block of Halfway Tree Road in Spring Grove Township. It is listed as his second drunken-driving arrest, and he also was arrested on a charge of operating while revoked. A passenger in the vehicle, Brandon M. Zuehlke 18, Brodhead, was cited for underage alcohol consumption. Deputies responding to the report of a disturbance in the block observed several vehicles leaving the area and stopped other vehicles resulting in the arrest of WILLIAM C. SANGERMANO, 16, Brodhead, on a charge of intoxicated driving, and he also was cited for underage alcohol consumption.
-- DENA L. KRATTIGER, 34, Brodhead, at 1:23 a.m. May 17 in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue, Brodhead. She also was cited for operating without required lamps lighted.
-- ROBERT L. HULL JR., 65, Monroe, at 9:33 p.m. Friday, May 22, in the 600 block of 1st Street, Brodhead. He also was cited for operating while suspended and possession of drug paraphernalia.
-- AUSTIN J. APPEL, 18, Orfordville, at 3:33 p.m. Saturday in the 1100 block of 19th Street, Brodhead, on charges of operating while under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and obstruction of drivers vision. Two passengers in the vehicle also were arrested: Alexandria J. Savona, 18, Orfordville, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia, and Elliot L. Wenzel, 19, Brodhead, on a charge of possession of a controlled substance.
Arrests
-- BRANDON S. LARSON, 28, Brodhead, at 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, in the 900 block of East 4th Avenue, Brodhead, on charges of endangering safety by driving recklessly, disorderly conduct, improper right turn, operating left of center, unsafe lane deviation unreasonable and imprudent speed and disturbing the peace with a motor vehicle.
-- BRETT W. RITSCHARD, 24, Monroe, on Friday, May 22, by Brodhead Police on charges of endangering safety by reckless driving and fleeing an officer.
