Janesville murder suspect waives preliminary hearing

ROCK COUNTY — 37 year old Kyle Hicke of Milton has decided to waive his preliminary hearing on felony charges, stemming from the alleged murder of his ex-girlfriend.

The victim was shot April 22nd in Janesville and Hicke led police on a 30 mile chase through southern Rock County.

Hicke informed court officials, late Thursday, he wanted to waive his preliminary hearing. He stood mute when asked if he wanted to enter a plea, and the court entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. A jury trial will be scheduled.

Hicke is charged with first degree intentional homicide, possession of a firearm by a felon, first degree reckless endangerment, and fleeing. He is being held in the Rock County jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
