Janesville murder suspect waives preliminary hearing
ROCK COUNTY 37 year old Kyle Hicke of Milton has decided to waive his preliminary hearing on felony charges, stemming from the alleged murder of his ex-girlfriend.
The victim was shot April 22nd in Janesville and Hicke led police on a 30 mile chase through southern Rock County.
Hicke informed court officials, late Thursday, he wanted to waive his preliminary hearing. He stood mute when asked if he wanted to enter a plea, and the court entered a not guilty plea on his behalf. A jury trial will be scheduled.
Hicke is charged with first degree intentional homicide, possession of a firearm by a felon, first degree reckless endangerment, and fleeing. He is being held in the Rock County jail in lieu of $1 million bail.
