JANESVILLE The Janesville School Board expelled two high school students Tuesday.
They are:
-- A student accused of repeated refusal to follow school rules, expelled for the rest of the school year.
-- A student accused of possessing marijuana on school grounds, expelled through the end of the 2010-11 school year. This student may apply for early reinstatement as early as second semester of the 2009-10 school year after undergoing a drug assessment and complying with treatment recommendations, enrolling in counseling, completing the Prime for Life drug/alcohol education program and following “staff direction with regard to schoolwork.”
If reinstated early, this student must maintain satisfactory attendance, behavior and schoolwork and be restricted to the school building for lunch, at the discretion of an assistant principal.
