ELKHORN A Burlington woman has been charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin in connection with an April drug bust.
Police say Shelly E. Henning, 28, of N2402 Charles Young Drive, Burlington, was found in possession of 174 bindles containing about 17 grams of heroin.
Law enforcement officials April 6 executed a search warrant at the home that Henning shared with Eric L. McIntyre and reported finding guns, a digital scale, unused baggies and tinfoil squares, according to the criminal complaint.
McIntyre, 30, also of Burlington, faces 11 counts, including possession with intent to deliver heroin and possession of a firearm by a felon.
At the time of McIntyre's arrest, Deputy District Attorney Joshua Grube said McIntyre was one of the main heroin dealers in the Lake Geneva area. He said county authorities had focused a great deal of resources to capture him.
Sgt. Jeff Patek of the Walworth County Drug Enforcement Unit spoke with Henning, and she admitted selling heroin when McIntyre was not available, according to the complaint.
The Walworth County District Attorney's Office filed a summons for Henning and expects her in court for an initial appearance Wednesday, June 10.
Deputy Jeff Rucknagel, who is at the forefront of this case, said Henning was not arrested with McIntyre because investigations were pending on her.
If convicted, she faces a maximum fine of $100,000 and 25 years in prison.
McIntyre is expected for a status conference Friday, June 5. He is being held on a $70,000 cash bond. If convicted, he faces a maximum fine of $355,000 and 142 years in prison.

"McIntyre was one of the main heroin dealers in the Lake Geneva area."
And if he's taken out of the picture, someone else will just fill his shoes. I don't see an end to any of this! I can't believe more people are not aware of their surroundings, to the point where they would NOT know someone is tripping on Heroin. How hard can it be to anonymously call the police with suspicions? I have... I've never felt that the police were rude or not interested. We had three kids (between 14 and 15 years old...)in Milton taken to the ER for overdoses, just last week!
