The Rock County Board is ready to investigate renovation options for the county's nursing home.

There are several options for renovations to the Rock Haven nursing home facility. The county can renovate the existing building, building a new building to match the square footage of the existing building or renovate and expand the existing building. The trigger for the renovations is a federal mandate that nursing homes have fire suppression sprinklers installed by 2013. The county board is set to vote on whether to retain a firm to study the project.

The maximum cost of the study is just under $46,000 and included in the 2009 budget.
