South Bend tops Beloit Snappers

BELOIT — The Beloit Snappers lost to the weather and the South Bend Silver Hawks in Midwest League baseball Tuesday.

The Snappers fell 4-1 when the game was called after eight innings because of rain.

Beloit starter Daniel Berlind (1-4) allowed three runs—two earned—on five hits, including seven strikeouts to take the loss.
