The Janesville area unemployment rate drops
The State Department of Workforce Development says the April rates are lower in many areas, but Secretary Roberta Gassman says the global recession continues to take a toll on Wisconsin workers.
Among the hardest hit of course is Janesville. A glimmer of hope comes with April's unemploynte rate with the metropolitan survey area dipping by .7% to just under 13%. This of course is still a far cry from the 4.8% a year ago.
The statewide unemployment rate also dipped to just under 9%.

I wonder how many of these people no longer on unemployment have moved out of the area/state? Out of nine homes on my street, three sit empty.
