Budweiser Clydesdales find temporary home at fairgrounds

Sometimes it's hard enough to find a hotel that allows pets, let alone a hotel that allows animals with hooves the size of dinner plates.

Luckily for the Budweiser Clydesdales, they fit right in at the Rock County 4-H Fairgrounds.

The draft horses are staying at the fairgrounds in anticipation of their weekend appearance at Southern Wisconsin AirFEST. Mary Check, the fair's office manager, says 4-H exhibitors don't show horses that large so the Clydesdales are set up in an empty barn with their own stalls and tack.

Check says the public is welcome to visit the horses Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 11am to 7pm.

A Clydesdale walks into a bar. Bartender says, "Why the long face."

I knew a girl with a long face too. But without the feathered feet.

My wife and I vacationed in St Louis and toured the Budweiser brewery. Of course we toured the stables and saw the horses up close. They're magnificent animals.
When I told the tour guide the UW uses the Budweiser theme song at athletic events he thought that was pretty cool.

Hannah - I believe the performance before the show is with the Clydesdales and that bartender at Tremors that people talk about on Craigslist, rants and raves.

theyre beautiful you must go see them if youre not going to the air show. I am curious about the "performance" before the show.
